THE CHALLENGE
Recognizing the need for stress management and sleep solutions, CV Sciences aimed to disrupt the crowded gummy market. The Sleep and Calm Gummies launch was a strategic response to consumers facing increased stress and sleep challenges in the post-pandemic world.  

BRAVE IDEA
CV Sciences created Sleep and Calm Gummies, designed with consumer insights in mind. We got to work on creating simple and clear messaging and a fresh packaging design to reflect the brand’s personality. We developed a year-long go-to-market strategy based on a multi-channel approach that included creating landing pages, targeted digital and email campaigns, podcast sponsorships, sampling and influencers.

GREAT BUSINESS RESULTS
The launch of CV Sciences’ Sleep and Calm Gummies was one of the company’s most successful, excelling in independent health food stores and online. The launch surpassed revenue goals by 21% and boosted brand visibility, highlighted by a feature in Miley Cyrus’s Instagram story. Key drivers included high-performing email campaigns (CTR: 3.0%, Open Rate: 14%). Paid media on WebMD and Healthline, along with partnerships with Mind Body Green, fueled additional traffic and conversions. 300,000 samples were distributed at major San Diego events increasing awareness and trial. Awareness was
also generated via popular podcasts including “Even the Rich,” Justin Long’s show, and the acclaimed Doctor Death podcast. In-store end-cap displays boosted pre-orders, while a holiday “Survival Kit”
bundle, the first LTO ever introduced by CV Sciences, exceeded sales forecasts by 42%. This product launch showcased CV Sciences’ strength in aligning products with consumer needs and executing impactful marketing.
